Sioux City Schools

Preparing for tomorrow's possibilities . . . that's what the Sioux City Community School District is doing as it provides a quality education to students who are enthusiastic about succeeding in a multicultural world.  SCCSD takes pride in serving students form a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, lending valuable dimension to every area of their education.  The district is committed to preparing each student for tomorrow's world as they gain their education with knowledge and positive experiences.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Sioux City Community School District exists to develop and graduate students who have the knowledge, skills and competencies to lead productive lives in society.

ATTENDANCE CAMPAIGN
Regular school attendance is crucial for student achievement.  The school district has consistently increased student attendance and lowered the dropout rate since the inception of "Missing School?Missing Out," a campaign that has decreased non-attendance significantly in the district.  This award-wing program  has been highly applauded by the business sector and parents, contributing to its overwhelming success in a short amount of time.
