Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to update you on the status of the busing for next year. The Sioux City Community School District voted last night to accept the proposal with the City of Sioux City providing an additional six busing routes for the district starting with the 2008-09 school year. This means that the start and end times of the bell schedule will not be changed.
Being a property poor district in a tight budget year, we felt obligated to at least gather information so we could quantify the savings if we were to switch our busing schedule. I want to express my gratitude to all for your valuable input and patience as we did this. We are looking forward to our continued partnership with the city transit as a means of serving you and your children.
