School Board Nomination Papers Available
We need leaders who care about children and our community!!
The Sioux City Community School District will have a school board election on September 8, 2009. This year three seats are available and each seat is for a four year term. Nomination papers for the school board seats are available at the Education Service Center at 1221 Pierce St. The nomination papers must be filed between July 6 and prior to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2009.
School board members are locally elected officials charged with
accountability for student learning, determining educational goals,
setting policy, overseeing school finances, etc. They play an
integral part in ensuring the future of all the state’s children
and communities.
