ACT Workshop
The Sioux City Community School District, in conjunction with Morningside College, is sponsoring an ACT preparation workshop for interested sophomores and juniors on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. in the Elwood Olsen Student Center on the Morningside Campus. Chad Cargill, of Cargill Consulting, Inc., will be leading the seminar, which involves invaluable test taking tips and study strategies. Each participant will also receive an ACT prep workbook. The initial three-hour seminar will be followed up by four optional small study group opportunities (two in math and two in English). The cost of the workshop, including the workbook and optional study sessions is $45. Checks should be made out to North High School. Fee reductions are available.
Due to limited seating and the need to have enough prep workbooks for all participants, registration and payment must be made in advance by contacting your high school guidance counselor. Deadline for registration is Friday, February 12, 2010.
There is seating available for non-resident students. Registration for non-resident students must be made by contacting April Netley (239-7008) by Friday, February 12, 2010.
