Snow Make Up Days
There has been much talk in the Siouxland area regarding how schools will make up snow days due to the unusually harsh winter. Every year the Sioux City Community School District creates two snow make up days into the calendar. If the District does not use a snow day then school will not be in session on the scheduled make up day; however, if the District does use a snow day then school will be in session.
This year the snow make up days are March 19 and April 23. As of February 1 the Sioux City Community School District has take three snow days. To make up for those snow days school will now be in session on March 19 and April 23. To make up the third snow date, school will now end on May 28 instead of the originally planned May 27.
