SCCSD joins Alliance for Excellent Education: Digital Equity Program

The Sioux City Community School District (SCCSD) has been invited to join a small number of districts to participate in the Future Ready Schools (FRS) new initiative: Digital Equity Program. The program, led by the Alliance for Excellent Education and AT&T’s Aspire Initiative, was created to help improve education opportunities among students of color, those living in rural districts, and those from low-income families. Kimberly Buryanek, Associate Superintendent, Kathy Bottaro, Director of Technology, and April Tidwell, Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, attended the all-expense paid kickoff event for the program in Washington D.C. on Feb. 21, 2018.
