East High School Homecoming Week 2019
East High will celebrate homecoming week September 16-21. The theme is “Arabian Nights.” The coronation will take place in the auditorium at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 16.

Emcee: Jacob LichtOn Thursday, September 19, weather permitting; the parade will kick off at 6:30 pm by the library on Morningside Avenue and continue on Morningside Avenue until the intersection of Peters Avenue, at which point the route will turn left and end at the Olsen Stadium.
The parade will also feature the homecoming royalty, the East High and East Middle marching bands, and the East High cheerleaders. Representatives from the elementary feeder schools will also be in the parade.
Following the parade, at approximately 8 pm on Thursday night, the traditional Spirit Bon Fire will take place at the practice field next to the East High softball fields.
Friday night from 5:30 – 7 pm the Taste of Morningside pre-game meal will be served in the shelter house of the Elwood Olsen Stadium. At 7 pm, the football game versus Abraham Lincoln will kick off. During the half time show, the East High marching band will perform.
The Pancake Feed Fundraiser will be held Saturday morning from 8 – 11 am. That night, the homecoming dance will take place in the East High commons from 8 – 11 pm.
Spirit Days for the week are: Monday – Dress Up Day, Tuesday – Dress Like Your Date or Twins Day, Wednesday – Class Distinction (Seniors: Toga, Juniors: Hawaiian, Sophomores: Western/Cowboy, Freshmen: 70s Disco), Thursday – Monochromatic, and Friday – Crazy Orange and Black.
