Career and Technical Education
The field of Career and Technical Education (CTE) is expanding in public schools. Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. In total, about 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation (source).
Students at North High School begin their pathways of learning in CTE at the high school. These pathways typically begin in one of the areas below. These courses are more general in nature and expose students to specific pathways. These all lead students to our district’s Career Academy. At the Career Academy, students will be exposed to more specific career learning.
