The Board Finance & Facilities Committee (BF&F) met on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the
Educational Service Center Board Room. Copies of the Agenda and the following Executive
Summaries were available:

- Hail Damaged Metal Roofing Replacement Project

Call to Order: Dr. Paul Gausman called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Board Authorization to Request Modified Supplemental Amount for the Excess Costs of Limited English Proficient Programs: Patty Pageler
- To request Board authorization to request modified supplemental amount from the School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) for the excess costs of limited English proficient programs in the amount of $123,551.65.
- The District may request modified supplemental amount for the FY19 excess costs related to limited English proficient programs.
- The modified supplemental amount increases the District’s spending authority.
- This item will be included on the agenda of the October 14, 2019 board meeting.
Finance Report for August – Revenue and Expenditures: Patty Pageler
- The August finance report was briefly reviewed.
Iowa DOT Temporary Easement at Riverside School: Brian Fahrendholz
- The DOT is working on gutters and overlay on Riverside Blvd.
- The DOT needs a temporary easement in order to complete their work.
- The committee approved moving forward with the easement.
Hail Damaged Metal Roofing Replacement Project: Brian Fahrendholz
- Sealed bids were received for replacing metal roofing at East Middle, West Middle, Morningside Elementary and Spalding Park Elementary.
- The recommendation is to accept the combined low of $140,800 from McKinnis Roofing Inc. of Omaha, NE.
- The funding source is insurance proceeds received due to hail damage.
- This item will be included on the agenda of the October 14, 2019 board meeting.
