The Board Finance & Facilities Committee (BF&F) met on Monday, September 16, 2019 in the
Educational Service Center Board Room. Copies of the Agenda and the following Executive
Summaries were available:

Call to Order: Dr. Paul Gausman called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
New Website Development: Mandie Mayo
- Mandie Mayo discussed the District’s need for a new website.
- The recommended vendor for the development of a new website is Juicebox.
- Juicebox is based in Des Moines, Iowa.
- The project budget is $22,000 annually for four years, followed by $6,760 each successive year to cover hosting fees.
- The recommendation is that the board approves the contract with Juicebox for new website development in the 2019-20 school year.
- This item will be included on the agenda of the September 23, 2019 board meeting.
Title I Third Party Vendor: Dr. Brian Burnight
- To request approval of a contract with FACTS Education Solutions to administer the Title I allocation to Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools.
- This item will be included on the agenda of the September 23, 2019 board meeting.
Amendment to Irving Preschool Lease with CAA: Dr. Brian Burnight
- To amend the current contract with Community Action Agency (CAA) to include the use of two additional rooms at Irving Preschool.
- Headstart is the only preschool at the Irving preschool building in the current school year.
- This item will be included on the agenda of the September 23, 2019 board meeting.
IAHSAA & IGHSAU School Classification Equity Resolution: Jim Vanderloo
- Jim Vanderloo and the activity directors presented a resolution regarding school classification equity.
- The resolution calls for a commitment from IGHSAU and IAHSAA to convene a committee to seriously evaluate the competitive needs of students and schools in order to experience success and the inequities inherent in a system based solely on enrollment size without consideration of family and community capacity for support and make a recommendation to a joint board of both associations to resolve this issue in the 2019-2020 school year.
