The Educational Equity Committee met on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the ESC Board Room.

2021-2022 High School Course Guide
Jim Vanderloo and Katie Towler reviewed the 2021-22 High School Course Guide. Mr. Vanderloo asked the Educational Equity Committee (EEC) for their feedback pertaining to the course guide.
The 2021-2020 High School Course Guide will offer a variety of new courses for our students to consider for registration. These new courses will be offered at various locations including the high schools, Career Academy, and Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC.)
The 2021-22 High School Course Guide will be presented at the Board Meeting on December 14, 2020. High school course registration has already begun and will continue through February. March is reserved for staffing.

The EEC reviewed four data sets: in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, special education, and talented and gifted.
The EEC used the Examining Data Protocol, which includes identifying patterns/trends, surprising/unexpected data, positive and concerning data points, and questions.
