Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes – October 28, 2019

The Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee (STFOC) met on Monday, October 28, 2019 in the Educational Service Center Board Room. Copies of the Agenda, Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes for September 30, 2019 and the Financial Summary for September of 2019 were available for distribution.

Committee Members Present: Dr. Paul Gausman, Patty Blankenship, Patty Pageler, Brian
Fahrendholz, John Meyers, Dr. Mike McTaggart, Suzan Stewart, Dan Lauer and Paul Treft

Call to Order: Dr. Paul Gausman called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Audit of Cash Disbursements

Dan Lauer reviewed the September 2019 cash disbursements and reported no issues.

Financial Summary

The September 2019 financial summary was reviewed.

Construction Update: Brian Fahrendholz

  • Hunt Elementary boundaries and utility work were discussed.
  • The progress of the replacement roofing project (hail damage) was reviewed

Other Items for the Good of the Order: Dr. Paul Gausman

  • The District’s certified enrollment is projected to increase by 444.2 (weighted count) and actual enrollment is projected to increase by 385. The financial and operational impact of the increase was discussed.
  • Dr. Gausman asked the committee to make recommendations for future committee members.
