Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes – September 30, 2019

The Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee (STFOC) met on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Bryant Elementary School. Copies of the Agenda, Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes for May 20, 2019 and the Financial Summaries for May, June, July, and August of 2019 were available for distribution.

Committee Members Present: Dr. Paul Gausman, Patty Blankenship, Patty Pageler, Brian Fahrendholz, Bill Prescott, John Meyers, Dr. Mike McTaggart, Grant Haight, Suzan Stewart and Doug Batcheller

Call to Order: Dr. Paul Gausman called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Audit of Cash Disbursements

Dr. Mike McTaggart reviewed the May 2019 cash disbursements, Suzan Stewart reviewed the June and July 2019 cash disbursements, and William Prescott reviewed the August 2019 cash disbursements, all were found to be in good order.

Financial Summary

The May 2019, June 2019, July 2019 and August 2019 financial summaries were reviewed.

Construction Update: Brian Fahrendholz

  • The Hunt Elementary project is in Phase III.
  • The Career Academy opened an agriculture classroom to begin an FFA program. Approximately 300 students are expected to participate in the program.
  • The Riverside/Sunnyside A/C projects are progressing.

Other Items for the Good of the Order: Dr. Paul Gausman

The District will be working on renewing the revenue purpose statement related to sales tax funding.
