Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes – March 29, 2021

The Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee (STFOC) met on Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Educational Service Center Board Room and virtually. Copies of the Agenda, Sales Tax Finance Oversight Committee Minutes for February 22, 2021 and the February 2021 financial summary were available for distribution.

Committee Members Present: Dr. Paul Gausman, Patty Blankenship, Patty Pageler, Tim Paul, Suzan Stewart, John Meyers, Doug Batcheller, Paul Treft, Dan Lauer, Grant Haight, and William Prescott.

Call to Order: Dr. Paul Gausman called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Audit of Cash Disbursements

The February 2021 audit of cash disbursements was reviewed by Grant Haight and found to be in good order.

Financial Summary

The February 2021 financial summary was reviewed. The committee recommended adding the project budget to the Projects in Progress.

Construction Update: Tim Paul

  • Briefly reviewed the upcoming projects.
  • Provided a summary of building projects from 2002 to 2019.

  • Summary indicates the cost per square foot increased over time (2002 East Middle, $77/square foot; 2019 Bryant , $193/square foot)

Dr. Gausman led a discussion regarding the frequency of future committee meetings. The Committee agreed that after the May 24, 2021 meeting the Committee would meet quarterly.
