Tutoring – After School tutoring is available every Tues – Thursday 3:00 – 4:00. If you need help catching up or help with current assignments come to the media center after school. Transportation is provided.
Focus Group with Mrs. Moyle will be today from 10:00-10:30 (after homeroom) in the auditorium.
There will be after school lifting & conditioning for all spring athletes not currently in a winter sport after school Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
There will be a track and field meeting during homeroom tomorrow in the weight room for ALL athletes interested in joining track & field.
Writers, you are always welcome to come to our meetings: West High Scribblerz is a writing group that meets to discuss writing and work on writing projects. All interested writers are welcome to our meeting today after school from 3-4pm in room 236. Ask Ms. Logue for more information.
Saturday School will be available for students who need help catching up on missing assignments or homework.
If you are failing one or more classes, plan to attend on January 12.
Saturday school will run from 8AM – Noon in the media center.

Beyond the Bell is looking for volunteers to help with their Mobile Food Pantry at Hunt Elementary. This takes place every 3rd Tuesday of the month. from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.
(Dates: January 22, February 19, March 19, April 16, May 21)
Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is looking for volunteers during the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month. Hours are Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location is Pet Smart at Lakeport Commons.
Are you working on earning your Silver Cord or meeting community service requirements? VolunteerSiouxland.org is the place to go. This is an online volunteer center for Siouxland, and there are now more than 100 nonprofit organizations on Volunteer Siouxland, with more than 50 active needs for volunteers on any given day. It is absolutely the EASIEST way for students to find and sign up for volunteer opportunities. It is also the easiest way to track their volunteer hours – confirmed by the organization. We have even added a field to volunteer profiles so they can identify which school they attend, allowing us to provide reports to the schools.
