IA Assessments make-up tests have started. Any 9th – 11th grade students will need to make up their tests before Friday, May 10.
There will not be Focus Group with Mrs. Moyle today. She is in the building, if you’d like to meet with her.
Native American Focus Group will be in the auditorium this Thursday, May 9 from 10 – 10:30! Nina with PEP will be there for our graduation ceremony!
If you have been participating, make sure you attend.
Liberty Elementary and Riverside Elementary are looking for volunteers for their Annual Field Day. If you are interested in either event, please see Mrs. Cleveland in the Freshman Office.
The Sioux City Area Council on Youth Leadership is currently requesting nominations for the 2019 “Youth Salute”. To qualify, a student must: (1) Be a high school junior (senior class of 2020), (2) Have a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A. and (3) Have held TWO LEADERSHIP ROLES to which they were chosen by their peers or an adult leader within the past two years in school, religious or community sponsored organizations.
All juniors have received an email from Ms. Scolaro with the attached application materials. We encourage all eligible students to participate. When you are done, you will have to print out a copy of your “Nomination Form” & “Youth Salute Essay” and turn them into your Youth Salute Rep Carli Gasaway or Ms. Scolaro by Friday, May 10, 2019. Make sure you have all signatures on your Nomination Form.
After-school tutoring is available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:05 – 4:05 PM in the Media Center.
Our next Saturday Schools are May 11 and May 18 from 8AM – Noon, in the Media Center.
Seniors, additional cap/gowns and invitations have been delivered. Stop by the Freshman Office to see if yours is here.
Please check with the front office if you have lost any items such as keys, phones, wallets, debit cards or glasses. We have several items that need to be claimed.

Riverside Elementary is looking for volunteers to help with their Annual Field Day on Tuesday, May 21 from 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
LaunchPad Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers to help with events. Check out their website or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Beyond the Bell is looking for volunteers to help with their Mobile Food Pantry at Hunt Elementary. This takes place every 3rd Tuesday of the month. from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is looking for volunteers during the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month. Hours are Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location is Pet Smart at Lakeport Commons.

This is an online volunteer center for Siouxland, and there are now more than 100 nonprofit organizations on Volunteer Siouxland, with more than 50 active needs for volunteers on any given day. It is absolutely the EASIEST way for students to find and sign up for volunteer opportunities. It is also the easiest way to track their volunteer hours – confirmed by the organization. We have even added a field to volunteer profiles so they can identify which school they attend, allowing us to provide reports to the schools.
