Information:
Siouxland District Health would like to help Siouxland families get your child’s vaccinations off next academic year’s back to school “To-Do” list. Don’t wait until you find out your child is behind on shots. If your child has Medicaid coverage or no insurance at all* Siouxland District Health department can work with your family to schedule an immunization visit. Over 300 appointment slots including extended evening hours have been added from May 20th to June 24th to help families get their appointments scheduled this spring.
As soon as your child turns 4, 11, and 16 years old, they are old enough to get their next round of school required immunizations.
Keeping your child up to date on doctor’s visits and immunizations prevents problems with school registration and keeps them healthy.
If your child has private insurance, (examples: through the Marketplace, Hawk-I, or through an employer), your child will need to see their doctor to complete immunizations.
Don’t put this off as appointments in the fall fill up fast.
Call 712-279-6119 to schedule immunization appointments with Siouxland District Health.
