American Legion Boys State of Iowa is a six-day immersive civics camp that provides fun hands-on experiences in the operation and fundamentals of government. The LEADS curriculum of Learn, Engage, Accept, Do & Share, shapes and empowers students to take action and accomplish great things. Each day is filled with leadership development and activities found only at Boys State.
Iowa Boys State is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that costs families nothing, builds real leadership skills, strengthens college and career applications, and connects students with peers and mentors who care about leadership and service in communities across Iowa. Parents do not need to be veterans, and the program is open to any junior boy in Iowa.
