All students at Liberty have been reading Charlotte’s Web in their classrooms over the last couple of weeks. This is a great children’s book about kindness, friendship, and helping one another. So far, Fern (a girl) has been helping Wilbur (the pig) by feeding him and helping him not feel lonely in his new home. When Wilbur’s life becomes endangered, Charlotte (a spider) and Templeton (the rat) all work together to save Wilbur. Ask your student to tell you their favorite part of the story so far and post it below. Also, mark your calendars to join us for Family Movie Night to watch Charlotte’s Web on Feb. 19th at 6:00.

Happy School Counseling week to Ms. Hanson!

Due to the extreme cold, there will be no school on Friday, January 23 in the Sioux City Community School District. Activities will be held as scheduled. Thank you.

We are beginning our One School, One Book event this week! Throughout the next month, we will be reading a book in each of the classrooms. Students will do a variety of activities related to the chosen book. On February 19th, we will wrap up our One School, One Book events with a Family Movie Night. Can you guess the book?
