If I were having a bad day, it would quickly get turned around because of staff like Mr. Henriks. Not only that, but he also helps every student equally because I know to him, everyone matters! He goes out of his way to help multiple students at once, even when situations are stressful. Last semester, when Mr. Henriks was an assistant principal, he assured me that he would help me navigate my way through my online coursework and tests to graduate at midterm, and he did help me! Not only did he go out of his way to help me, but he put me in that mindset that "I've got this," and I did it! I graduated at mid-term! His positivity and encouragement helped me get to my goal. Mr. Henriks is one hundred percent what 'WEST' is about. He's 'welcoming' because he has a smile on his face the moment he walks through the door. He was 'engaged' in helping me reach my goal of midterm graduation. He's 'safe' because he understands the building and student needs. He's 'trustworthy' because he shows up for others!
