Earth and Space Science is a laboratory-oriented core science course, which can be used to satisfy the science requirement for many colleges. Students will investigate the various aspects of the earth and space. Areas of study include the study of maps, minerals and rocks, fossils, weathering, erosion, soil, surface water, human impact on the earth, plate tectonics, earthquakes, earth’s atmosphere, and astronomy topics including the sun, moon, stars, galaxies and the universe.
