The Sioux City Community School District provides access to Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) through UnitedHealthcare and NIS to assist employees when they need it most.

Confidential EAP services cover:

EAP services are available to employees and their dependents who are covered by the District’s Health Plan. Services include 24/7 unlimited, confidential, and professional services to help find solutions for health concerns, personal and family issues, along with work challenges that you may be facing.  This service gives you a wide range of health and well-being information through one toll-free telephone number (Ph: 888-887-4114) at no cost to you.

NIS – LifeWorks (English) / NIS – LifeWorks (Spanish)

Services through LifeWorks provide eligible employees with access to masters-degreed counselors 24 hours a day through a toll-free number (Ph: 866-451-5465), up to three free in-person assessment and counseling sessions, legal assistance, financial assistance, childcare and eldercare assistance, and memorial planning assistance.

Confidentiality 
Your EAP assistance is confidential and conforms to HIPAA regulations. No names are identified or reported to anyone without your written authorization except in the following situations: by court order, imminent threat of harm to self or others, or situations of abuse (such as child or elder abuse).
