Course Description

Performance-based instrumental ensemble open, by audition, to advanced student instrumentalists. Emphasis is placed on the advancement of high-level technique, ensemble performance skills, music literacy, and the rehearsal and performance of advanced band repertoire. This ensemble performs at various concerts, contests, and festivals throughout the school year.

A total of two credits are required from one of the Fine Arts areas. Fine Arts areas include Music, Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, or Additional Fine Arts Courses. Symphonic Wind Ensemble is a Music Course.
