This year-long core social studies course will look at the contributions, accomplishments, struggles, and triumphs of people worldwide from the late 16th century to the modern-day. The course will examine the large historical patterns of movement and migration of people, revolutions, cultural and national identity, war, and systems of power. A major emphasis in World History is to compare/contrast, analyze, and engage in inquiry concerning how people, past and present, encounter and interact with similar issues and situations around the world.
