East High School’s Gender-Sexuality-Alliance has received the 2021 Joel Hurtado Community Support Award from SUX Pride.
The Joel Hurtado Community Support Award recognizes a business or organization which demonstrates outstanding support and service for a community. Award recipients’ work is recognized for its lasting, positive impact in Siouxland.
East High School’s Gender-Sexuality-Alliance has worked to provide a safe and welcoming place for all students for many years. The group serves the local community by attending Pride events, educating others and fulfilling its long-standing commitment to welcome all participants.
