Show Choir season is in full swing in Siouxland. After the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to many schools competing over the last 2 years, students and their directors are eager to get back on stage.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, performing arts programs have canceled dozens of performances and competitions.

There will be a new show choir competing for East High School this year, led by director, Nikki Fenton. “It’s so exciting, I mean that is why we do it for the thrill and the rush of being on stage and performing. The theme this year is love yourself. This is the first time Prestige has had a competition season, last year we changed the setup but didn’t get to compete due to COVID. So, this is the first year they have ever had and we wanted to go with a theme that was fun and light-hearted and gave the girls a lot of confidence”, said Nikki Fenton.

Prestige is one of three show choirs competing for East High this year. East’s top show choir, “The Headliners” will be bringing a Vegas scene to life this year with new director, Jeremy Hess.

East High School’s “Sing All About It” Show Choir Invitational will be on March 5th.
